Air Memphis (Cairo International) has moved to reactivate its MD-83, SU-BME (msn 49628). This marks the second aircraft in the Egyptian operator's fleet to resume operations following the reintroduction of its DC-9-30, SU-PBO (msn 48131), in May on flights to Iran. At present time, it remains to be seen whether the charter flights between Egypt and Iran will continue given Tehran's disapproval of the new government which took over following the Egyptian military's ousting of former president Mohammad Morsi and his regime earlier this month.
