FlyPelican (FP, Newcastle Williamtown) has submitted a proposal to the Narrabri Town Council to take over the Narrabri to Sydney Kingsford Smith route recently left vacant by defunct carriers Vincent Aviation (Australia) (Darwin) and Brindabella Airlines (Canberra).

ABC Australia says in light of recent disturbances to the route caused by the demise of the two airlines, the Council has now asked Transport for New South Wales to consider opening it up to more players given that Vincent Aviation still holds exclusive rights to the route.

FlyPelican has been set-up by ex-Aeropelican (Newcastle Lake Macquarie) staff and currently operates charter services with its fleet of three Jetstream 32s.
