East Timor's Oe-Cusse Regional Administration and Special Zone for Social Market Economy (Zonas Especiais de Economia Social de Mercado de Timor-Leste - ZEESM TL (Dili)) has taken delivery of its first aircraft, a DHC-6-400 formerly C-GVTU (cn 872) on the Canadian register. During its type certification, the aircraft will remain under the supervision of an unspecified Canadian firm.

The twin-prop, which arrived in Dili direct from Viking Air (VKN, Victoria International) on Thursday last week, will be used on passenger flights to Oecusse, an exclave within Indonesian West Timor, and the island of Atauro, initially. Thereafter, flights to Lautem, Cova Lima, Baucau, Same, Viqueque, and Maliana will follow.
