HK Express (UO, Hong Kong International) has taken delivery of its first A321-200 (sl) following the arrival of B-LEA (cn 7363) at Hong Kong International from Hamburg Finkenwerder on Saturday, October 29.

The Kong Kong-based LCC has a total of twelve of the type due for delivery between now and 2018 on lease from Bocomm Leasing.

HK Express plans to use the A321 to boost capacity on high-demand routes where it cannot gain additional service slots given growing congestion at Hong Kong International. As such, the type's initial destinations include: Da Nang; Osaka Kansai; Phuket; and Seoul Incheon.

The carrier currently operates fifteen A320-200s and is also expected to take delivery of its first of twelve A320neo on lease from Arctic Aviation Assets before year-end.
