Hawaiian operator Trans Executive (which operates under the name Transair Hawaii) has been approved by the US Department of Transportation for foreign and interstate charter air transportation of persons, property and mail.

In its initial application – lodged more than a year ago – Transair outlined its plan to carry out charter air transportation using one "VIP" B737-200Adv – N413JG (msn 23148) aircraft to foreign destinations such as the Marshall Islands or Kiribati.

Trans Executive's fleet additionally comprises seven Shorts 360, of which five are dedicated cargo carriers and two fitted for passenger operations, and four B737-200(F) freighters.
