Tajik Air (7J, Dushanbe) has resumed flights from Dushanbe to Khorog, following the return to service of its two An-28 aircraft. The route has been served by helicopter over the past few months, but this has proved an unreliable option due to challenging weather conditions. The route is generally known as one of the most difficult in the world.

Tajik News reports that flights recommenced on July 7 and are currently operating 1x daily. The airline will increase frequency to 3x daily should demand be strong.

Tajik Air serves domestic flights in Tajikistan, as well as international destinations Almaty International, Beijing Capital, Bishkek, Delhi International, Ekaterinburg, Moscow Domodedovo, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Surgut and Tehran Mehrabad.
