Gowair Vacation Airlines (Madrid Barajas) has taken delivery of its maiden aircraft in preparation for the launch of commercial flights later this summer season.

Skyliner Aviation reports A320-200 EC-MQH (msn 1296) was positioned to Madrid Barajas from Chengdu Shuangliu via Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev and Thessaloniki last week.

A unit of Spanish tour operator, Gowaii Vacation Holding, Gowair is believed to be in the process of securing its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) with Spanish regulator AESA (Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea). It aims to operate in the local/regional European ACMI/charter segment initially before branching out into the Caribbean with A330s in 2018.
