easyJet (London Luton) has been granted slots at Frankfurt International, the airfield's operator Fraport has confirmed. According to Reuters, while the allocation has been confirmed, it is uncertain as to when the UK-headquartered budget carrier will begin using them.

Should it commence operations, easyJet would become the third LCC to start operations at the central German hub, home to Lufthansa, behind Ryanair and Wizz Air.

easyJet has also secured access to Berlin Tegel as part of a EUR40million (USD46.5million) deal with Air Berlin (1991) (Berlin Tegel) entailing the dry-leases on up to twenty-five A320 aircraft as well as slots at the German capital gateway.
