Public Charters (P1, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International) will shortly terminate a 6x weekly return service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Del Rio International, a town in Val Verde County, Texas, that operates under its Texas Sky (Victoria, TX) brand.

According to ch-aviation analysis of schedule data, the last such flight will operate on Friday, November 17, effectively leaving the airfield with no other known scheduled commercial passengers services. Operations are onboard Jetstream 32 aircraft wet-leased by PublicCharters from Contour Aviation (LF, Smyrna).

Texas Sky said in a statement that despite "countless marketing tactics and cooperative funding" invested in the route since its launch in February, it has not been enough to warrant the service sustainable.

"Texas Sky has successfully flown over 300 flight segments and delivered many satisfied passengers to and from DFW. Unfortunately the targeted goals for enplanements, in order to continue this service, have not been reached," it said. "Texas Sky will continue to consider its successes with Del Rio in hopes of restoring service in the future."
