Buoyed by a rebound in global freight demand, FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) has announced that, during the third quarter of its 2018 financial year (i.e. December 1, 2017 to February 28, 2018), it entered into an agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to accelerate the deliveries of four B777-Fs.

In an SEC filing, the US logistics giant said the delivery of two of the aircraft had been brought forward from 2021 to 2020, one from 2021 to 2019, and one from 2022 to 2020.

As of February 28, 2018, FedEx's B777 order book now foresees one B777F arriving later this year followed by three in 2019, six in 2020, none in 2021, and three in 2022. It currently operates 34 of the type.

Of its sixty-one B767-300Fs on order from Boeing, four are due this year, followed by 15 in 2019, 16 in 2020, 10 in 2021, 10 in 2022, and six thereafter. It currently operates 54 of the type.
