Pullmantur Cruceros has announced it has reached an agreement with Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) in which the airline will avail more than 90,000 seats to the cruise line to bring its passengers to various embarkation ports outside Spain over the period April 23 to October 29, 2018.

In a statement, Pullmantur said the IAG International Airlines Group unit would proffer the seats on flights from Madrid Barajas and Barcelona El Prat to each of Athens, Helsinki Vantaa, Rostock, Trieste, and Trondheim. Each of the destination cities counts as an embarkation or disembarkation point for Pullmantur’s itineraries to the Greek Isles, the Baltic, Norwegian fjords and Northern Norway, as well as sailings from Venice.

"We have considered their flexibility when it comes to responding to our needs, without forgetting that it is one of the most prestigious and punctual airlines in the world, adding to the experience of our passengers," the President and CEO of Pullmantur, Richard J. Vogel, said. "One of our priorities is to guarantee our guests a wonderful experience; and this is not only limited to the time they spend on board, but it begins much earlier, before the ship has even sailed. Having such well-known partners like Iberia helps us to achieve this goal."

As part of the agreement, passengers will be able to check their luggage in at either Madrid or Barcelona airports all the way to their cabin aboard the ship.
