Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) has set a tentative September 1 date for the start of commercial A350-900 operations, ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed.

As it stands, the Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) widebody will be used to run 2x daily Beijing Capital-Chengdu Shuangliu shuttle flights, presumably for crew training purposes, through to September 30. Additional deployment plans are expected to be announced closer to the time of delivery.

According to its financial statements, Air China has a total of ten A350-900s on order of which six are due this year while the remaining four are due next year.
