Jet Airways (JAI, Mumbai International) has taken delivery of its first B737-8, VT-JXA (msn 44861). On lease from GECAS, it is one of 150 B737 MAX the Indian carrier is expecting from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) of which two will arrive this month followed by a further nine by March 2019.
As previously reported, Jet Airways plans to begin B737 MAX 8 operations on July 1 with flights from Mumbai International to various Indian cities as well as Dubai International and Abu Dhabi International in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
