Miami-based startup incubator ZED Aerospace has announced it is planning to launch its AURA (United States of America) (Miami International) virtual carrier brand in 2019.

AURA will position itself between commercial airlines and private jets for flights covering the continental United States. CRJ700s, operated by technical partner Presidential Aviation (PRD, Fort Lauderdale Executive), will feature 29 seats divided into two cabins with varying degrees of comfort.

According to a ZED statement, AURA will connect Miami, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Denver in its first phase followed by Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, and Houston in its second. AURA will also serve popular ski resorts, holiday destinations, and cultural events such as Sundance, SXSW, Coachella, Art Basel, and more. Flights will depart from AURA's private hangar at major international airports and private airports.

AURA will operate on a monthly subscription-based model although tickets will also be offered to the general public at a premium.
