Allegiant Air (G4, Las Vegas Harry Reid) has ended McDonnell Douglas operations with its last MD-83/8 flights having taken place on Wednesday, November 28. At the time of their retirement, Allegiant had operated sixteen MD-83s and three MD-88s.

The Nevada-based ultra-low-cost carrier's fleet is now an all-Airbus operation entailing thirty-seven A319-100s and fifty-two A320-200s.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, other MD-80 operators in the United States include: American Airlines, A-Liner-8-Aviation, Aero Air, Ameristar Charters, Delta Air Lines, Everts Air Alaska, Kalitta Charters II, KEB Aircraft, Noybim, Olympia Aviation, Perris Valley Aviation Service, Scaife - Flight Operations, Sunrider, TriStar Experience, the United States National Nuclear Security Administration, the United States Navy, USA Jet Airlines, and World Atlantic Airlines.
