Dubai-based business aviation operator Vista Global has combined charter fleet owner/operator XOJET Aviation (XOJ, Fort Lauderdale Executive) and mobile booking app developer JetSmarter into XO Powered by JetSmarter, which Vista described in a press release as a “digital jet marketplace for private aviation”.

The new brand pledged to “provide elevated services for on-demand private jet travel”, where business aviation customers will “be able to fly anytime, anywhere, at a moment’s notice”.

XO addresses the shift toward digital solutions in the industry, Vista Global claimed in the announcement, creating a one-stop service where “customers will be able to choose the best digital membership option, request a flight, or book a seat, instantly.”

Vista Global was launched as a holding company in 2018 by Thomas Flohr, who founded the business charter fleet owner and operator VistaJet (Malta) in 2004. In April 2018, it purchased Florida-based JetSmarter, whose membership plans have promised benefits such as free seats on shuttle flights.

Vista Global then acquired the fleet and commercial operations of California-based charter operator and broker XOJET in September 2018, the third-largest Part 135 charter provider by flight hours in 2018, according to specialised aviation company Argus International.
