Cyprus Airways (CY, Larnaca) is set to make its African debut during the Summer 2020 season, ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed.

As it stands, the S7 Group subsidiary expects to launch a 3x weekly Larnaca-Cairo International, Egypt from April 2, 2020 using A319-100 equipment. The route is currently plied by EgyptAir (MS, Cairo International) offering a daily B737-800 service.

At present, Cyprus Airways operates two A319s on scheduled flights connecting Larnaca with 16 cities in Israel, Lebanon, Switzerland, Germany, Czechia, Greece, and Slovakia. In December this year, it will start 3x weekly flights between Paphos and Athens.
