Mexicana (1921) (México City International) could potentially resume operations in spring with 7 aircraft and approximately 2500 staff if a deal between investment group Med Atlantica and the bankruptcy judge turns out to be followed through. Several earlier attempts to sell the bankrupt carrier that had suspended operations in 2010 had failed. Med Atlantica is reportedly planning to invest up to 300 million USD to acquire Mexicana.
