euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) has signed an agreement with AerCap for the lease of two used B787-8s. According to the lessor, the two Boeing widebodies will deliver during the spring of 2021 and will be the first B787s to be based in Portugal.

"With these 'new' aircraft, euroAtlantic will provide next-generation widebody ACMI services to the global market while at the same time enhancing their fleet operations," Aengus Kelly, CEO of AerCap, said.

The Portuguese ACMI/charter specialist, which was taken over by a consortium of private investors last year, currently operates an all-Boeing fleet that includes one B737-800 (operating for Air Peace), six B767-300(ER)s, and one B777-200(ER).
