Peach Aviation (MM, Osaka Kansai) restarted international flights on October 25, 2020, more than seven months after all such scheduled flights were suspended due to COVID-related restrictions on international travel.
The Japanese low-cost carrier, a subsidiary of ANA Holdings, said in a press release that its international network would for now be limited to services to Taipei Taoyuan from Osaka Kansai, Tokyo Narita, and Tokyo Haneda. Each of the three routes will be operated 3x weekly.
The carrier said that due to the prevailing restrictions on entry both to Taiwan and Japan, as well as limitations on the use of public transport, it would coordinate transfers from airports to each of the cities with commercial transportation firms.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Peach Aviation deploys a fleet of thirty-five A320-200s and a single A320-200N on 622 weekly scheduled flights (in the week starting on October 26, 2020), of which 604 are domestic flights.
