Kuwait Airways (KU, Kuwait) has taken delivery of its first two A330-800Ns thereby becoming the type's launch operator. 9K-APF (msn 1964) and 9K-APG (msn 1969) were both ferried from Toulouse Blagnac to Kuwait on October 29, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.

The jets are the first of eight the state-owned carrier has on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac), the remainder of which are to arrive by 2026. They will accommodate 235 passengers each with 32 fully-flat beds in Business Class and 203 seats in Economy Class.

Kuwait Airways also has five A350-900s on order alongside twelve more A320-200Ns. Its current mainline fleet, the ch-aviation fleets module shows, entails eleven A320-200s, three A320neo, five A330-200s, and ten B777-300ERs.
