Air Cambodia (K6, Phnom Penh Techo International) has firmed a previously announced plan to acquire up to twenty C909s by signing a purchase agreement with COMAC for the type, with the first deliveries due from the second half of 2026.
The deal, signed in Shanghai on July 17, 2026, follows a memorandum of understanding announced in September 2025 covering 10 firm orders and 10 options for the C909.
Air Cambodia also said Cambodia's State Secretariat of Civil Aviation had signed a separate memorandum of understanding with COMAC to support C909 operations and wider civil aviation cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, operational support, talent development, and maintenance training.
According to a social media post published by the office of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, COMAC's cooperation with Cambodia also includes maintenance services and training for aviation personnel and civil aviation officials. Hun Manet said the government would support coordination between COMAC and the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions.
Air Cambodia said the agreement made it the first foreign flag carrier to place a bulk order for the C909. Outside China, only two operators, TransNusa (8B, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) and Lao Airlines (QV, Vientiane), operate the type with five and two units, respectively.
Air Cambodia operates a fleet of six aircraft, comprising two A320-200s, one A321-200, and three ATR72-600s. It also has a firm order for ten B737-8s.

Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) will dry lease seven additional B737-10s from Aviation Capital Group, with the first aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2028 from the lessor's order book.
The aircraft will support Skymark's fleet renewal and allow the airline to increase capacity on high-demand routes from Tokyo Haneda, ACG announced during the Farnborough International Airshow.
Skymark plans to configure the B737-10 with 207 seats, 30 more than its 177-seat B737-800s and B737-8s. In a May 2026 fleet presentation, the airline estimated that the larger variant would reduce fuel costs per seat by approximately 19% compared with the B737-800.
The airline's fleet plan envisages sequentially introducing B737-8s and B737-10s while retiring its B737-800s. Skymark received Japan's first B737-8 in April 2026 and introduced it into revenue service between Tokyo Haneda and Fukuoka in May.
According to ch-aviation data, Skymark already has unfilled orders with Boeing for seven B737-10s and seven B737-8s, alongside commitments to lease another six B737-8s. It already operates one B737-8 and twenty-nine B737-800s.

Buffalo River Aviation (OFT) secured Part 135 certificate #VBTA520S on July 13, the company announced.
“Earning our own FAA operating certificate is a significant milestone that gives us the flexibility to continue investing in our fleet, our people, and the exceptional service our clients expect,” CEO Chris Townsley said.
Buffalo River Aviation launched charter services in late 2023 under the Part 135 certificate of Central Flying Service, which later became JetTech. “We are grateful to JetTech for our partnership and continued support throughout this process,” Townsley added.
With the new certificate, Buffalo River Aviation said it would bring in-house a fleet comprising three Beech (twin turboprop)s, namely a King Air F90 and two King Air B200s, three Citation Jet-series aircraft, including a Citation Jet 3+, and a Citation Sovereign inducted in mid-2025.
“We’re investing in additional aircraft, facilities, and people to continue delivering safe, dependable service and to help connect Arkansas businesses and families to destinations across North America,” Townsley said. The company expects to add another Citation Jet and a Citation Sovereign within a year.
A 2003-built, six-seat Citation Jet 2, N500SD (msn 525A-0132), is listed as “coming soon” on Buffalo River Aviation's website. The company employs 11 pilots and aims to hire two more by the end of the year.
