MSC Air Cargo (Geneva) has agreed with Boeing to place an order for five B777-8F aircraft, adding the new-generation aircraft to its existing all-Boeing freighter fleet.

"The B777-8F gives us the efficiency, range and capacity to serve our customers reliably for years to come, while advancing our commitment to more sustainable operations. It is the right aircraft for the next stage of our growth," MSC Air Cargo CEO Jannie Davel said.

The two companies did not reveal the value of the deal or the delivery timeline.

MSC Air Cargo currently operates three B777-200Fs, all of them having arrived from the assembly line to the operator in the past two years. The B777-200Fs are registered to MSC Air Cargo’s Italian air operator's certificate MSC Air (CP, Milan Malpensa). Two additional B777-200Fs are operated on behalf of MSC Air Cargo by Atlas Air.
