Pittsburgh-based aircraft management company Private Jet Center (PJC, Zelienople) has partnered with Jets.com to acquire two Cessna XLS Gen 2s from Textron Aviation. The aircraft are due for delivery in 2025 and will be added to Private Jet's Part 135 permit.
“These aircraft are a logical first step toward our long-term goals of modernizing our fleet and developing additional aircraft ownership services in conjunction with our long-standing partner Jets.com," said Private Jet Center CEO Clayton Pegher. "The new aircraft will help lower operating costs, increase dispatch reliability, and improve our successful employee retention program. This order is just the beginning of a more robust long-term plan of fleet growth through new aircraft acquisitions.”
Pegher added that the planned orders for additional new large cabin aircraft would further upgrade its fleet and improve client access to equipment.
The partnership between Private Jet and Jets.com will include access to the new XLS Gen2 aircraft. The jets will also play an important role in a new fractional ownership program offered jointly by Private Jet and Jets.com that is due to be unveiled later this year and will expand ownership options for new and existing clients.
According to a statement announcing the purchase of the two new aircraft, Private Jet Center currently operates 14 light, midsize and super-midsize aircraft, including 13 Citations.
