Bestfly Aircraft Management Aruba (BFY, Aruba) has added its first E175 to its fleet under a management agreement with IBEX Air Charter (IBC, Beirut) to serve the oil and gas industry in Africa, managing director Nuno Pereira informed ch-aviation.

He said P4-EMB (msn 17000328) would operate under Bestfly's Aruba air operator's certificate (AOC).

Pereira said the regional jet was ferried from Bratislava via Tamanrasset in Algeria to Brazzaville (Congo) for inspection by oil and gas companies on May 14. ADS-B data shows it carried on to Luanda 4 De Fevereiro (Angola) on May 19.

According to ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data data, the 88-seater, 13.5-year-old ex-flybe. aircraft was removed from the Guernsey register, where it was inducted as 2-RLBW. It had been stored at Bratislava since March 2020.

The twinjet joins Bestfly Aruba's fleet of 12 aircraft, including one ATR72-600, one Citation Excel, one E190, one Falcon 900B, one G450, two G550s, three Global Express, one Global Express XRS, and one Learjet 45, according to the ch-aviation fleets module. Luanda-based parent Bestfly operates an additional two ATR72-600s.
