Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) CEO Mesfin Tasew has announced that the airline will receive the first two of four Midnight eVTOLs from Archer Aviation (Palo Alto) in 2026 under a USD30 million deal signed in March 2025. The electric aircraft will be used mainly for tourism, including air taxi services to government-run resort areas. A team of Archer pilots, technicians, and engineers will support the initial deployment.
