NZ Jet (Ardmore, NZ) is preparing to launch Gulfstream Aerospace operations with the addition of a newly acquired G100, co-founders John and Sofia Ambler told The New Zealand Herald. The aircraft is expected to enter charter service in December.

The 25.4-year-old jet, registered in the United States as N974MT (msn 127), seats up to seven passengers. It had been operated privately in the United States since 2021, with a brief six-month period on the Paraguayan register between May and October 2024, when it was based at Asunción.

The aircraft was ferried from Camarillo to Melbourne Essendon between July 23 and 26, 2025, with stops at Bangor International, Shannon, Athens, Baku Heydar Aliev International, Delhi International, Medan Kuala Namu, Broome, and Sydney Kingsford Smith. Since August 13, it has been based at Singapore Seletar.

NZ Jet's first Gulfstream joins a 35.2-year-old, eight-seat Citation V registered in New Zealand. It is not yet clear whether the G100 will also be placed on the local register, in which case it would become the sole Gulfstream aircraft in the country. Earlier this year, the carrier retired a Citation Ultra.

Since early 2025, NZ Jet has partnered with Jet Charters NZ (Napier/Hastings), pooling their fleets for charter operations.
