New Zealand-based aircraft management and private jet charter broker DJets has added a first Citation Jet 3+. CEO Tony McCombe told ch-aviation the aircraft had been placed under the air operator's certificate (AOC) of Wellington Jet Charters (Wellington).
The 8.2-year-old jet, ZK-RJZ (msn 525B-0524), is configured for up to seven passengers and had been privately operated in New Zealand since new. “The aircraft is based at Wellington and enters service this week, with charter bookings already in place," McCombe said.
DJets retains exclusive charter rights over the newly added Citation Jet 3+. The company further manages a Challenger 604 placed on the AOC of GCH Jet Operations, an Australian-registered Global 7500 added earlier this year, and a Falcon 2000LX operated by Air Ops Jet, all available for charter.
McCombe explained that DJets' fleet strategy is designed to optimise travel across New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific, while avoiding internal competition between aircraft types.
Separately, Wellington Jet Charters operates a 17.2-year-old, seven-seat Citation Jet 2+ stationed at Wellington, in service since 2021.
