Emirates (EK, Dubai International) has partnered with aerospace manufacturer Safran to build an aircraft seat manufacturing and assembly facility in Dubai. The site is expected to initially produce economy and business class seats for cabin retrofits, with a plan to offer line-fit projects in the future. The companies anticipate the facility to come online by the fourth quarter of 2027. It will serve not only Emirates but also other airline customers.
