Air Atlanta Europe (CT, Malta International) has taken delivery of its first B777-300(ERSF) converted freighter under a CMI deal with Fly Meta. The aircraft will be the first of three units of the type to be operated under a wet-lease agreement on behalf of Hungary Airlines (2G, Budapest).

9H-JJB (msn 32788) was delivered by AerCap to Fly Meta by December 1. The Hong Kong-based lessor subsequently placed the aircraft with Air Atlanta Europe. ADS-B data shows that the aircraft remains at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion, where it underwent conversion by Israel Aerospace Industries, and has yet to fly under its Maltese registration. It was deregistered from the United States on November 21, 2025.

Air Atlanta previously said that the aircraft would be based out of Budapest and operate mainly to mainland China and Hong Kong International. The airline will become the world's second operator of the type, following Kalitta Air.

The other two B777-300(ERSF)s under the same tripartite arrangement are scheduled for delivery in the second and fourth quarter of 2026.

Hungary Airlines currently operates a single A330-200F owned by the Hungarian government.

In turn, Air Atlanta Europe's fleet comprises three B747-400(BDSF)s, three B747-400FSCD, two B777-200ERs, and two B777-300ERs. Its parent company Air Atlanta Icelandic operates two B747-400(BCF)s, two B747-400(BDSF)s, four B747-400FSCDs, and one B777-200ER that is earmarked for a teardown.
