Labasa airport on Fiji's Vanua Levu island will close to all traffic between February 16 and March 27, 2026, to allow for critical runway repavement works. The 1,073-metre-long runway will not be extended, but by strengthening it the authorities aim to facilitate regular ATR72-600 operations. Currently, Fiji Link deploys mainly ATR42-600s to the airport, while Northern Air serves it with E110 aircraft.
