The Nicolás Maduro regime of Venezuela has authorised the resumption of migrant repatriation flights from the United States operated by Eastern Airlines (2D, Miami International) onboard a B777-200ER, between Phoenix Sky Harbor and Caracas Simón Bolivar, days after saying the programme had been effectively suspended due to the geopolitical escalation and comments of US president Donald Trump, who unilaterally claimed that Venezuelan airspace should be considered “closed in its entirety.” Venezuela’s transport ministry said it had received a formal request to restart the 2x weekly repatriation flights.
