Avelo Airlines (XP, Burbank) has signed a use and lease agreement with Dallas McKinney, committing to become the first airline to serve the airport once it completes ongoing investment in a passenger terminal. The low-cost carrier will announce the launch date and network "a few months prior to the opening of the commercial terminal," which is currently on track to open in late 2026. The airline signed a five-year agreement with an optional five-year extension.
