Boeing (BOE, Washington National) is preparing to increase its B737 MAX monthly production rate from 42 to 47 aircraft by early summer 2026, according to Katherine Ringgold, vice-president of the B737 programme. She told media at the Renton production facility that the manufacturer was currently comfortable with the 42 aircraft per month rate, driven by high inventory levels and supplier support.
The vice-president predicts that 2026 will be a strong year for the programme, noting plans to diversify supply chains and introduce a fourth assembly line. Boeing received FAA approval in October to raise its monthly production rate from 38 to 42. Any further increases would need to be okayed by the regulator.
