Santai Seaplane has selected Banyuwangi as its future primary operational hub for seaplane services. The start-up carrier will develop a dedicated operations and sales centre at the facility under a Build-Operate-Transfer framework. Supported by InJourney Airports and Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi, the airline plans to launch commercial services in early 2026. Initial operations will utilise Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan EX to connect East Java with North Bali, Lombok, and Moyo Island. The hub will also support charter services to regional centres, including Surabaya.
