Maldivian (Q2, Malé) will debut a weekly scheduled charter service between Malé and Melbourne Airport on May 17, 2026. The seasonal route will be operated in partnership with Luxury Escapes, a high-end tour operator, which will exclusively be selling tickets for the flights in a package with hotel stays. Maldivian will deploy its A330-200 on the route, which will be the only direct service between the Indian Ocean archipelago and Australia.
