Air India (AI, Delhi International) plans to return a B777-300ER, VT-ALL (msn 36310), to service in early February 2026 following a six-year grounding at the MRO facility of AI Engineering Services in Nagpur. The 18.2-year-old aircraft was originally inducted for a routine 30-day C-check in February 2020 but was cannibalised for parts to support the rest of the fleet. The maintenance process, which faced multiple delays under previous and current ownership, is reportedly in its final stages.
The Indian carrier presently operates a B777 fleet composed of nineteen B777-300ERs and five B777-200LRs.
