ANA Holdings will invest a record-high JPY2.7 trillion yen (USD17.5 billion) over the next five years, according to the strategic plan revealed on January 30, 2026. The medium-term corporate strategy for fiscal years (FY) 2026-2028 (April 2026 to March 2029) focuses on expanding the international passenger and cargo segments ahead of the Tokyo Narita expansion in 2029.

The group plans to expand its total fleet to approximately 330 aircraft, a figure that would exceed its pre-pandemic level of 303 units. ANA - All Nippon Airways will begin receiving a new batch of B787-9 aircraft starting in August 2026. These jets will serve as the primary international platform and will feature new cabin products in all classes. For domestic operations, the carrier will introduce the E190-E2 after FY2028.

The low-cost subsidiary Peach Aviation is scheduled to introduce the A321-200NY(XLR) in financial year 2028. The budget carrier will expand its capacity, measured in available seat-kilometres, by 30%, with a focus on international routes from Osaka Kansai. Across the entire group, ANA Holdings aims to increase the share of new-generation aircraft to approximately 80% by the end of FY2025 and 90% by the end of FY2030.

Following the integration of NCA - Nippon Cargo Airlines, the group's international cargo fleet will include B747-8F, B777-200F, B767-300ER(BCF), and B767-300F aircraft. The strategy includes a structural reform in FY2026 to partially divide the operational responsibility of the B777-200Fs from ANA to NCA. The company expects the NCA integration to generate JPY30 billion (USD194.3 billion) in synergy impact by FY2030.

Financial targets include a record-high operating income of JPY250 billion (USD1.6 billion) in FY2028 and JPY310 billion (USD2 billion) in FY2030. The group expects to reach a 10% operating margin by FY2030. Approximately JPY270 billion (USD1.7 billion) of the total investment is dedicated to digital transformation.

ANA Holdings intends to utilise the 2029 expansion of Tokyo Narita to achieve 70% growth for flights to and from that hub.

The group will also expand into new mobility business areas. It targets the launch of commercial drone-based delivery services in 2027 and plans to introduce air taxi services pending government certification. For shareholder returns, ANA Holdings will maintain an approximate 20% dividend payout ratio and plans to introduce a new interim dividend system in the next fiscal year.

According to ch-aviation fleets data, the group currently operates a combined fleet of 288 aircraft across its air transport entities: All Nippon Airways, ANA Wings, AirJapan (which is being wound down), Nippon Cargo Airlines, and Peach Aviation.
