BeOnd (B4, Malé) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Bahraini civil aviation authority to establish a subsidiary with a local air operator's certificate (AOC) in the Gulf state. The premium leisure specialist aims to base up to 10 aircraft out of Bahrain International by 2030.

“Establishing a Bahrain-based airline is a natural next step in our multi-jurisdictional strategy," chief executive Tero Taskila said.

The airline currently operates a single AOC in Maldives with a fleet comprising one A319-100 and one A321-200. However, it has long harboured ambitions to expand in the Gulf region. In early 2025, it announced plans to pursue a second AOC in the United Arab Emirates, while in late 2025 it said it also applied for a certificate in Saudi Arabia.

The airline also planned to team up with New Pacific Airlines to launch operations in the United States. Following the bankruptcy of the US American carrier, it said it would look for new partners to continue with this plan.
