Transport Canada (TGO, Ottawa International) has certified the G700 and G800. The process, which began in 2024, concluded on February 23 when the regulator amended type certificate #A-226, originally issued for the G650, to include both models. The approval follows certification of the GVII-G500 and GVII-G600 roughly one week earlier.

Certification of the four Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft comes after a late January threat by United States President Donald Trump to decertify all aircraft manufactured in Canada, particularly Bombardier Business Aircraft's Global Express-series, unless the new Gulfstream models received Canadian approval.
