Embraer Executive Jets (São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International) has unveiled the Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E types, upgraded variants of the Praetor series, with deliveries for new orders scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2029. Both feature cabin and systems enhancements, with no announced changes to performance or airframe design compared to the current models.

The manufacturer told ch-aviation there are no plans to offer conversion of existing Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 aircraft to the new variants. Embraer said the timeline between announcement and entry into service reflects development and industrialisation, including design maturation, certification, and production integration. “Given Embraer's record backlog, earliest delivery slots availability for new Praetor sales begin in 2029,” a spokesperson said.

The Praetor series was introduced in 2018 as a development of the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 platforms. A conversion programme remains available to upgrade Legacy 450 aircraft to the Praetor 500 configuration.
