Karup airport in the central part of continental Denmark will regain scheduled air traffic on April 20, 2026, when Alsie Express (Sønderborg) starts 3x daily flights to Copenhagen Kastrup. The previous operator, AIS Airlines (Netherlands), terminated its operations on this route in June 2025, and was booted out of the contract in September after missing consecutive relaunch deadlines. Alsie Express will deploy an ATR72-500 operated by its parent company, Air Alsie. Karup will also see summer charter flights to Spain on behalf of Bravo Tours.
