Korean Air (KE, Seoul Incheon) has approved a long-term investment plan covering the acquisition of a total of 103 aircraft, comprising twenty B777-9s, twenty-five B787-10s, fifty B737-10s, and eight B777-8F freighters, according to a stock exchange filing dated March 26, 2026.

The board authorised the purchase as part of its fleet plan through 2039, with deliveries extending beyond the airline's previously stated 2030 timeline.

The carrier also approved a separate investment for 21 spare engines, sourced from General Electric and CFM International. The package includes six GE9X, five GEnx-1B, and ten LEAP-1B engines, with deliveries scheduled through April 2039.

Korean Air stated the investments are intended to "secure aircraft in advance" under its long-term fleet strategy.
