Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) will open a new base at Turin Caselle in northern Italy. The first based aircraft will begin operating from the city on September 14, 2026, followed by a second one from October 25. The base will facilitate the launch of seven new routes, including three domestic services (to Rome Fiumicino, Naples Capodichino, and Palermo International). Currently, Turin is dominated by rival LCC Ryanair, which operates a base at the airport and holds a 56.2% market share by scheduled weekly departure capacity.
