Northern Jet (NJM, Grand Rapids, MI) has added a brand-new Challenger 650.

The aircraft, registered as N789DC (msn 6230) on March 19, is configured for up to 12 passengers and available for charter. “Adding the Challenger 650 reflects our continued focus on offering aircraft that combine performance, connectivity, and comfort,” chief executive Chris Bull said.

Based on the East Coast, the jet departed Bombardier Business Aircraft's Montréal Trudeau production facilities on March 22 for Hartford Bradley with a stop at Burlington, VT. The following day, the Challenger 650 began operations under Northern Jet's 'NJM' code with a flight to Orlando Executive.

This jet joins another Challenger 600-series aircraft in Northern Jet's Part 135-certified fleet, namely a Challenger 604. The company operates additional Bombardier aircraft available for charter, including two Learjet 40XRs, a Learjet 45XR, three Learjet 70s, three Learjet 75s, a Learjet 75 Liberty, three Challenger 300s, a Challenger 350, and a Challenger 3500.

Additionally, Northern Jet's Part 135 certificate includes a Citation Jet 2, a Citation Jet 3, two Citation Jet 3+ aircraft, a Citation Jet 4 Gen2, a Citation XLS, a Citation XLS+, a Citation Sovereign, a Citation Sovereign+, a Citation X, a G150, and a PC-12 turboprop.

The company manages several other Bombardier, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Textron Aviation aircraft.
