Air Serbia (JU, Belgrade Nikola Tesla) is relying heavily on the flexibility of its three-family regional fleet amid the spike in fuel prices, while trying to avoid large-scale cancellations. "We are really keeping track of all the schedule changes […] just by changing the aircraft type, going from an Airbus to either Embraer or ATR. That for sure [gives] us flexibility," said Bojan Aranđelović, head of network planning and scheduling. The airline is seeking opportunities in the current crisis, he said, and could seek to renegotiate its leases. However, should the crisis persist, Air Serbia will also contemplate returning aircraft early.
