Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) and Abra Group, which owns avianca airlines, GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, Wamos Air, and NG Servicios Aéreos, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a long-term strategic partnership, which establishes a "pathway" to a joint business agreement in the future. The agreement, signed on June 7, 2026, seeks to increase connectivity across North and South America, improve sales and frequent flyer coordination, expand codeshare, and increase cargo collaboration. It remains subject to final regulatory approval.
