Ireland's Department of Defence has sold a 2003-built Learjet 45 previously operated by the Irish Air Corps and replaced by a Falcon 6X delivered in late 2025. The Learjet 45, registered in the United States as N554VA (msn 45-238) on May 21, was sold to Oklahoma-based Alliance Air Parts. Since 2025, the jet completed four sectors, the last on April 21, 2026, between Baldonnel, where it was based, and Shannon.
Military markings and titles were removed on May 5, and uncertainty remains over whether the aircraft will be parted out. The Bombardier Business Aircraft had been phased out due to increasing reliability issues and declining parts availability.
