The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority is considering six applications for new scheduled passenger operations, including proposals from MiskAir, Premier Airlines, Ubuntu Air, Asante Aviation, Air Serv (Uganda), and Arasus Aviation, as part of 14 applications for new and renewed air services licences (ASLs).
According to a statement by the UCAA, the applications were reviewed by the UCAA's 53rd Board Air Services Licensing Committee meeting on June 12 and cover domestic and international passenger, cargo, private, and aerial work operations. The authority has not yet announced its decisions.
The full list of applications before the board include:
- Cubic Air SMC Limited: A new application for a domestic non-scheduled passenger licence;
- KEA - Kampala Executive Aviation: A new application for domestic and international non-scheduled cargo services, and a renewal application for domestic and international non-scheduled passenger services;
- MiskAir: A new application for domestic and international scheduled passenger and cargo services;
- Flight Training Centre: A new application for domestic and international non-scheduled passenger and aerial work operations;
- Transafrik Uganda: Renewal of an international non-scheduled cargo licence;
- Grand Air Services: Renewal of an international private licence;
- Premier Airlines: A new application for international scheduled and non-scheduled passenger and cargo services;
- Eagle Air: Renewal of international scheduled and non-scheduled passenger and cargo licences;
- Ubuntu Air: A new application for international scheduled and non-scheduled passenger services;
- Asante Aviation: A new application for a domestic scheduled passenger licence;
- Mungufeni Aviation Uganda: A new application for domestic and international non-scheduled passenger services;
- Arasus Aviation: A new application for international scheduled and non-scheduled passenger and cargo services;
- Air Serv: A new application for domestic and international passenger services; and
- Aim Air (Uganda): Renewal of domestic and international non-scheduled passenger licences.
