Air France (AF, Paris CDG) announced in a letter dated June 15, 2026, that it will permanently cease operations at its local office in Bamako, Mali, from June 30, 2026. Air France suspended flights to Mali in August 2023 due to a coup d'êtat in neighbouring Niger and has not restarted operations since. Corsair, the only carrier currently operating a direct route between Mali and France, recently suspended its Paris Orly-Bamako service until at least June 26, 2026.
